Master's Degree
Master's degree program graduates

- Completion of required credits
- Completion of required credits: Major (24 credits) + Thesis Research (6 credits) + Electives (variable credits)
- - Payment of tuition fees for each semester during the course of study
- - Passing scores in the foreign language test and comprehensive exam
- - Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- - Completion and recommendation of the thesis by the advisor

- Within 6 years from the completion date (Military service period is excluded)
- ※ Candidates exceeding the specified time frame must retake the foreign language and comprehensive exams within 6 years from the reexamination date.
Doctoral Degree
Doctoral degree program graduate

- Completion of required credits
- Major (36 credits) + Thesis Research (9 credits) + Electives (variable credits) for doctoral candidates
- - ayment of tuition fees for each semester during the course of study
- - Passing scores in the foreign language test, second foreign language (if applicable), and comprehensive exam
- - Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- - Publication of papers exceeding 200% of the required quota in academic journals after admission to the doctoral program
- - Completion and recommendation of the thesis by the advisor

- Within 8 years from the completion date (Military service period is excluded)
- ※ Candidates exceeding the specified time frame must retake the foreign language and comprehensive exams within 8 years from the reexamination date.

- - Recommendation Letter from Advisor (Form 10-2)
- - Recommendation Letter from Thesis Examination Committee Members (Form 10-3)

- Confirmation of Bank Account Opening for Thesis Examination Committee Members (Form 10-4)
- ※ Do not fill in the bank account number of the university professor.
- - Confirmation of Compliance with Research Ethics for Thesis Research (Form 10-9)

- Confirmation of Academic Journal Paper Presentation (Form 10-5) and Separate Volume (for PhD candidates only) 1 copy
- ※ If publication in a journal is delayed, attach a confirmation of publication delay. The confirmation of publication must include the publication date and page number.
- ※ In case of submitting a photocopy, obtain the advisor's "original verified" signature.
- - Thesis Examination Waiver Agreement (Form 10-8)
To be submitted if the advisor or committee members cannot conduct the examination. - - Receipt of Thesis Examination Fee Payment: Master's (100,000 KRW), Doctorate (300,000 KRW)
Submit a bank transfer receipt in your name via wire transfer or internet banking (include your student ID on the receipt).

- - Thesis for Examination: Submit to the department before applying for examination (3 copies for Master's, 5 copies for Doctorate).
- - 50 copies of Abstract for Public Presentation: Discuss with the advisor before applying for examination.

Thesis Examination Committee Members
Qualifications for Thesis Examination Committee Members

- Master's Degree
- · Full-time faculty members of our university
- · In case of insufficient full-time faculty members, honorary professors or external members (holders of master's degree or higher)
※ The advisor cannot be the chair or vice-chair of the examination committee, but can only be a member.

- Doctoral Degree
- · Full-time faculty members of our university
- · There should be at least 3 members with doctoral degrees among the total 5 members of the examination committee.

· In case of insufficient full-time faculty members, honorary professors or external members*
*External members: Holders of doctoral degrees in the relevant field)
※ The advisor cannot be the chair or vice-chair of the examination committee, but can only be a member.
Number of Committee Members : Master's Degree - 3 members, Doctoral Degree - 5 members
Thesis evaluation
Master's degree
- - Evaluation rounds : At least 2 readings (including 1 public presentation)
- - Passing criteria : Approval from at least 2/3 of the examiners, with a score of 80 or above out of 100
Doctoral degree
- - Evaluation rounds : At least 3 readings (including 1 public presentation)
- - Passing criteria: Approval from at least 4/5 of the examiners, with a score of 80 or above out of 100
Reporting the Results of the Examination

- 1 copy of the Request for Changing the Title of the Thesis (if applicable, for cases where the title in the result report differs from the title submitted during the application)

- 1 copy of the Examination Result Report
- 1 copy of the Summary of Examination Results

- ※ The title of the thesis cannot be changed arbitrarily.
