Division Master's degree Ph.D
Eligibility General - A person who has obtained a bachelor's degree (including those expected to graduate in February of the application year) or holds a degree equivalent to or higher than this according to the law (e.g., recruiting new students in 2025, including those expected to graduate in February 2025).
- Individuals who have obtained a bachelor's degree from a regular university abroad or hold a degree equivalent to or higher than this according to the law.
- Individuals who have obtained a regular master's degree from domestic or foreign universities.
- Graduates from departments in the same field as the major completed in the master's degree program.
Special Admissions Those who fall into one of the following categories:
1) Academic Excellence: Those with an overall GPA of 80 or above for undergraduate courses (85 for Ph.D. courses).
2) Career: Those with three years or more of experience in research and professional fields related to the major after obtaining their degree (five years for Ph.D.).
3) Current professors at other universities or colleges, ranked as assistant professor or higher.
4) Those unable to apply based on academic excellence and career (as described in 1 and 2) can apply only through recommendation by a full-time professor at our graduate school (only applicable for master's programs).

  3. 3) Eligibility: Same as Graduate School Master's/Ph.D./Integrated Course Applicants
  4. 4) Selection Method: Candidates who pass the JBNU-KIST Industry-Academia Convergence Department application process are selected by the respective department advisor.
  5. 5) Introduction to Regional Industry-Academia Convergence Research Project: This is a project initiated by Jeonbuk National University, a leading national university in the region, and the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), a leading research institution in advanced composite materials industry. It aims to lead innovative research and foster creative talents through synergy between the two institutions and regional companies.
  6. 6) Students selected for the convergence research project are assigned to our university's advisor's research lab and are also registered as student researchers at KIST Jeonbuk. They are required to conduct research at KIST Jeonbuk for a certain period*.
    • * 20 hours per week: Determined upon signing the student researcher employment contract

Recruitment Schedule

  • 1st Semester: Between October, November, and January
  • 2nd Semester: Between May and July
